The chair of the group rotates between the member organisations. At this time the role of chair is performed by Prof Malavika Nair (Oxford University) representing the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining. The role of deputy chair is performed by Dr Philip Marsden (Magnetic Shields Ltd) representing the Institute of Physics.
The leadership of the UKJBESG rotates between the learned societies and professional bodies. Any member of any one of these organisations can lead the group with the support of their society or body.
